Elisabeth Nemeth is a philosopher. Her research focuses upon history and philosophy of science, in particular the philosophy and history of Logical Empiricism (focusing on  Otto Neurath. Edgar Zilsel and Philipp Frank), Ernst Cassirer’s philosophy of science and philosophy of culture, and Pierre Bourdieu’s sociology of science and of education. Until her retirement in 2016 she was professor at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Vienna where she still teaches philosophy.
